Daytime Emmy Awards

The 38th Annual Daytime Entertainment Emmy Awards ceremony was full of glamour and glitz at the Las Vegas Hilton Hotel in Las Vegas. On June 19, 2011 the stars walked the Red Carpet to the cheers of thousands of TV fans who arrived as early as 9 am to line the red carpet for viewing and screaming.
Wayne Brady hosted the show and much to the delight of everyone he danced in the opening number with Jabbawockkeez, who are headliners at the Monte Carlo and a show favorite of “Americas Got Talent”. Wayne has his own fan club from “Let’s make a Deal” which has been an all time favorite of daytime game shows.
Lifetime achievement awards were presented to Pat Sajak “Wheel of Fortune” and Alex Trebek “Jeopardy” for outstanding game/audience participation shows. The awards were well deserved and I can attest to that because I have been watching both shows for years.
Marie Osmond looked beautiful and elegant as always and reported that she will be joining the cast of “the Bold and the Beautiful” in the fall. It will be exciting to see her on the show which won an Emmy for Outstanding Drama Series for the third consecutive year.

The excitement continued after the awards show ended as everyone headed out to the after parties. There were many parties in various ballrooms in the hotels on the strip.
We ended up at the after party at Wynn Las Vegas and loved being there with everyone. The Emmy winners clutched their Emmy Statues the entire evening, as I would have, had I won one.
